By DSPO | May 04, 2023

The United States Government National Standards Strategy for Critical and Emerging Technology (USG NSSCET) has been released, emphasizing the Federal Government’s support for international standards for critical and emerging technologies (CETs). The strategy aligns with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) United States Standards Strategy and emphasizes U.S. government support for our private sector-led standards system and engagement in international standards for critical and emerging technologies to strengthen U.S. leadership and competitiveness in standards development.

The U.S. Department of Defense engages with ANSI and the private sector in collaborative standards activities such as Global Supply Chain Security for Microelectronics and the Additive Manufacturing Standardization; and works with private sector-led standards development organizations to develop and maintain the standards used in the engineering, acquisition, and sustainment of defense systems.
